Finally, you need to deny yourself.

Founder of Peace In Young Life
The story of my life, by Mitzi Gaines

Mitzi was born in Detroit, MI at Herman Keefer Hospital on April 22, 1955.  The
youngest of three children, she was the daughter of Frank and Barbara Jean
Whatley.  Mitzi was reared on the east side of Detroit in an area known as
"Black Bottom".  Her mother died at the age 37.  Mitzi was only 12 years old
and her father was in jail serving a life sentence as a habitual criminal.  Mitzi
ended going to several schools and moving from house to house trying to find
peace of mind.

She eventually went off to Job Corp in Kansas City Missouri and while she
was there she obtained a certificate as a clerk typist and cashier checker.
Mitzi was in the corp for three years. Mitzi returned home at the age of 17.
She was soon to bare her first child. That year she also obtained her first apartment.
This was the first victory of her life.

She then went on to have four more children for whom she thanks god.  If
it wasn't for her children, she would probably be crazy or dead. Her children
helped her remember what she had to do.As she looked back on her life,
she saw the hard times she had, yet they were
fair.  When she thinks about it, she wouldn't have it any other way.

Don't get her wrong but Mitzi is glad the her mother passed when she was a child
because it taught her how to be strong and independent. Although Mitzi was strong,
she was still weak and confused, she still didn't know what she wanted to do with her life.
So for thirty five years she was in a state of non existence and knowing nothing.
In total darkness, bumping into this and that.  It was during that time in her life
that she was working of Satan.  He almost took her sanity and her life.  It
wasn't until she fell on her face and asked God to come into her life that she
was delivered.  She began to work for God.

Mitzi received a AS. Degree: Already Saved,  BA. Degree: Born Again Christian,  MS. Masters Servant,
DR. Degree: Daughter of Christ .And her PHD: Professing Haven as her Destination, By giving her life as a living
Sacrifice, and that's something no man can ever take away from her.  Mitzi promised God that she would make him
proud of her.  She is truly blessed.

You see it wasn't until she met Jesus that she found the peace she was looking for.  This was her second victory.
Now at the prime of her l at the age of 41, she is the proud founder of Peace In Young Life Center Inc.  Peace by
Providing Education Awareness to Affect A Community Evolution. Peace is a 501(c) 3 non - profit organization

We are a Tax Exempt Non-Profit Organization, working to deliver Lives for the Glory of GOD!
